Allie Bourgeois is a personal yoga instructor in Atlanta, GA. She offers clear personalized instruction to her students and offers a wide array of class types and yoga styles. Allie has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. Her personal practice began when she was pregnant with her first child. Her yoga teacher, Yvonne Moore, changed her life by teaching her not just yoga, but to be present in the moment. The nurturing she received from Yvonne is the reason Allie gives tea and "love" cookies at the end of each private yoga class she leads. This was the beginning of Allie's love for yoga.
Allie first became a certified yoga instructor through the YogaFit program in Hilton Head, SC. She began her private instruction by teaching friends at home in her kitchen. As she noticed how their bodies started to change she was inspired to go further in her practice to help others look and feel better. From here Allie started attending workshops and teachers training to become a Registered Yoga Teacher© (RYT). In 2007 she attended a retreat led by Master Kripaula Teacher, Yoganand Michael Carrol. He changed her perspective on yoga and she was even more dedicated to becoming a yoga instructor.
Allie's teachings are always accompanied by a fascination and wonder of the body with a genuine interest in each and every student. She is grateful for the opportunity to guide students toward a deeper awareness on the mat, so that they can engage in life more skillfully off the mat.
